Grégory Thuan Dit Dieudonné
Grégory Thuan Dit Dieudonné is a Strasbourg-based lawyer, internationally recognized for his extensive expertise in European and international human rights law. His career has been marked by a constant commitment to defending fundamental freedoms and is rooted in a decade of experience as Legal Secretary at the European Court of Human Rights, giving him a unique perspective and technical understanding of international judicial mechanisms that few professionals can match.
Since 2015, he has led the Strasbourg-based law firm THUAN DIT DIEUDONNE, a boutique firm with a strong international focus, assisting clients in complex areas such as international criminal law, litigation before the Court of Justice of the EU, and corporate social responsibility. In addition to his legal work, Maître Thuan has served as an independent expert for the Council of Europe since 2010. He has led audit and judicial reform missions in countries such as Armenia and Azerbaijan, contributing to the training of judges, lawyers, and magistrates on ECHR standards and the fight against corruption. He is also a key member of the HELP (Human Rights Education for Lawyers) program and the GREVIO expert group, which focuses on monitoring the Istanbul Convention on Violence against Women. A specialist in indigenous peoples’ rights, Maître Thuan dedicates much of his work to the protection of vulnerable minorities around the world, from the Evenk people in Siberia to the Al Ghofran tribe in the Gulf. He currently chairs the Human Rights Commission of the Strasbourg Bar Association and the European Bar Association (UAE). A former lecturer at the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg, he continues to train and speak at major international symposia, addressing topics ranging from environmental law to child protection and the management of INTERPOL red notices.
