Mariella Fiorentino
Mariella Fiorentino has been a licensed lawyer in Italy since 2000. Since 2015, she has been registered in the Special Register of Lawyers authorized to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation and other higher courts, and since 2024, she has been an Arbitrator at the International Arbitration Chamber. She is an expert in human rights, European law, administrative law, and national civil law, and provides judicial and extrajudicial advice to both private companies and public administrations, particularly in matters relating to public employment.
She holds prominent roles at the national and international level, including Vice President of the Human Rights Commission of the Union des Avocats Européens (UAE), based in Luxembourg, a member of the Commission for Foreign Affairs, European Law, Defense, and Local Authorities of the Italian Parliamentary Intergroup “Sviluppo Sud,” and a member of the working groups on administrative law and fundamental rights of the European Law Institute in Vienna. She also holds the position of Coordinator and Scientific Director of the Human Rights Commission of the Naples Bar Association.
As a legal expert, she has extensive experience as an organizer, scientific director, and speaker at training courses, conferences, forums, conventions, and seminars focused on topics such as human rights protection, European law, new technological frontiers including artificial intelligence, environmental protection, and bridging the gender gap, held at Italian and international institutions and universities. Her scientific consulting work involves both public and private entities active in international, European, and fundamental rights law. She has also taught international courses on organized crime, armed conflict, and human rights protection.
Her commitment as a lawyer specializing in environmental and criminal matters has earned her numerous awards, including the “A Woman Who Makes a Difference” Award – “Justice” section (2014) presented at the Campidoglio in Rome.
She earned a Law degree from the Federico II University of Naples and has participated in masterclasses and advanced training courses on European Union law, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and human rights protection, organized by prestigious institutions such as the Union des Avocats Européens, the European Law Institute (ELI), the Academy of European Law (ERA), Temple University of Philadelphia – Beasley School of Law, the European Inter-University Center for Human Rights (EIUC), and several Italian universities.
